I Tarkov Poorly

Goal: kill 10 scavs on Woods with a shotgun Progress: imperceptible Raid 102 - Loot Run, I Guess Got turned around slightly at the beginning of the raid, but hit USEC encampment, Scav Bunker, Abandoned Village and Village before extracting at North UN Checkpoint. Saw and killed exactly one scav. Got a lot of loot. The scav kill was weird.  I cleared the area around Scav Bunker and then entered it - all clear. Got some loot, was walking through it and suddenly a scav appeared in the section I had just left. He must have spawned in, I would have heard him approach. He was making gasping sounds like he was already injured. I killed him with one shot. On the post-mortem screen I see that I only did 16 damage to him. So either he spawned in already injured, or he somehow magically approached without making any noise or being seen.   Time In Raid: 35 minutes, 22 seconds Exp: 1697 Ammo Used: 1, Hit 1, Accuracy: 1, Damage to Body: 16 Killed: Porfiriy Grustnyy Raid 103 - Shoreline...

Destination: Woods Goal: kill scavs with a shotgun  Progress: painful Raid 100 - The Imposter Loadout: Remington 870 shotgun with laser and dot-sight, loaded with lead slugs. No armor.  Ears, meds, etc. Spawned at the RUAF extract.  There are loot boxes here, but they are not why I'm here. I proceeded straight to Emercom camp and got inside it fairly quickly, haven't yet heard any bait shots anywhere. Now I just need to wait for some scavs to spawn. I waited.  After more than five minutes I finally heard shotguns pop off in the distance, which suggests scavs are finally spawning in.  With them came running footsteps - a scav ran into Emercom camp. He ran by my position, I got behind him and dropped him with a single shot.  I'll be honest, I thought it was a not good too hurried shot, but EFT felt otherwise apparently. I went back and waited for more scavs. I waited a long time - no more scavs. Fine, I'll get some loot and head to village.  I picked up ...

Goal: Pursuing Punisher 4, the first part of which is to kill 10 scavs with a shotgun on Woods. Progress: excrable Raid 95 - Potato Wars Loadout: the MT-255 revolver shotgun with the Pilad shotgun dot sight. Don't ask me why I thought this weapon was a good idea, but somehow that's the one I picked. Class 4 armor. Meds, ears, etc. Spawned on spine. Where to go? I decided to try Emercom camp - I've had good luck with killing scavs there in past wipes.  Went to Emercom. No scav noises. I carefully sidled up to it. Someone was moving around - definitely a player.  He must have heard me, because he suddenly ran upstairs and started looking for me. I was positioned at the corner of the camp, aiming up. He finally came out of the conex, looking north. I was due west of him, meters away. I aimed at his head and fired. And nothing happened.  I can't believe the sound didn't of the weapon going off just meters away didn't spook him. I shot him the side of the head again,...

 

I need 7 more scav kills to complete Punisher 3.   Raid 92 - SVDS  Loadout: AKS-74U with iron sights and US gs ammo, ears, meds, no armor. Spawned on the rise next to the military checkpoint road. The checkpoint was empty, but maybe that would change. I tucked into a bush and waited.  Some few minutes later I heard bait shots firing around the map, and shortly after scav voices coming from the checkpoint. Excellent. I killed three scavs pretty handily at the checkpoint, using its rear wall for cover. Every time I'd start repacking mags it seems another scav would spawn and approach.  After my third scav kill I had two scavs still up. One I could hear from the direction of the tower, but I couldn't see him. It's possible he's just shouting over in the industrial area.  The other fired on me with a shotgun from the big field, and I have a good idea where he is.  I went up the hill, keeping an eye on the ground below, checking the roof lines in the indust...

Goal: Kill scavs on Customs with AKS-74U Raid 91 - Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition Loadout: AKS-74U with iron sights and 5.45x39mm US gs (that's the subsonic round, makes recoil manageable). Meds, ears, no armor. Spawned in at RUAF. Took shelter in a bush. Players should be coming this way, maybe I can catch one, but there is no sense in exposing myself - I have a low range weapon with weak ammo and iron sights.  After some minutes the scavs spawned in and began making noise. No sign of any players. Time to move out. There was a scav across the checkpoint wall - I brought him down through the little window. His body is exposed and it's possible players may still be incoming, so I didn't go to loot him. Entered construction area. At the conex and dumpster next to little skeleton I proceeded to fight off scav after scav. Every time I tried to reload a magazine, another scav would start moving around. I was mostly killing them at medium range too, which is nice, though...

Goal: Kill 25 Scavs on Customs with an AKS-74U. Raid 90 - Everything Comes in Twos Loadout: AKS-74U loaded with 5.45x39mm US gs ammo. Meds, ears. No armor.  I've been dying too much lately, to both scavs and players, but especially players.  The last player I killed was two weeks ago when I went out duo-ing with Om3ga . I try not to think about it too much - killing other players is great and all, but I need to focus on killing scavs. I'm 6 raids into this quest and am not even at the halfway point.  Spawned near smugglers. Took shelter in a bush, waiting for the scavs to spawn. The bait shots started, I moved out. Peeked the road above, nothing. Moved below the bridge, peeked again - a scav shouted to my right, but I couldn't see him. Backed down into the river valley and cut across. Peeked again, hunting him, when I heard footsteps on the other side of the big stone divider. Is a scav coming to investigate again?  Come to mama, little child. I have something for yo...

Goal: Kill 25 Scavs on Customs with an AKS-74U.   All three of the AKS-74Us I purchased for the last three raids came back on insurance. So back to it! Raid 87 - Double Tapped Loadout: AKS-74U with iron sights and US gs ammo.  No armor. Meds, ears, extra ammo.  Spawned inside the storage shed area. It's pouring rain, deafening.  None too quickly worked my way to the end of the main span where a scav shouted and ran up. I leaned out blasted him in the face. But the AKS-74U jumped around with crazy recoil, which is peculiar because I have been practicing with this exact weapon offline and the US gs ammo smooths it out considerably. But it was like a bucking bronco. The scav, despite my shots right in his face, turned and ran. My magazine was empty, so I didn't pursue hard.  I stepped back to cover and reloaded. I went to pursue - he had turned around. I shot him in the head again, he seemed unaffected. I ducked below the edge of the trailer. I don't have cove...

I completed Punisher 2 last raid. Good for me!  But I didn't achieve level 19, so I still cannot advance to Punisher 3.   Raid 80 - Reserve Goal: mark two tanks on Reserve for Ragman and extract Loadout: UMP-45, Class 6 Hexgrid armor (first time I've ever entered a raid with class 6), meds, ears, backpack. I spawned at the dome, descended the hill, marked one tank, made my way over to the train station and marked a second tank. A scav yelled at shot at me from behind at one point, but the hexgrid saved me and I took cover and then continued. Marked the second tank and jettisoned my backpack. On the way to extract I saw that scav again, but avoided him.   Made it to extract, putting the truck behind me to protect from dome. A scav spotted me and ran forward - I dropped him with point fire to the head - nice shot!.  Doing so reset my extract timer. Does killing someone reset the timer? Had I moved?
