I Tarkov Poorly

Goals: kill some PMCs survive plant a wifi camera on Customs Progress one out of three is better than none Raid 150 - The Inept Mugging Back to Customs with my Ash-12. My plan is to get loot (I am starting to need funds again with all these deaths piling up), chase gunshots to hunt players, and plant that wi-fi camera for Skier (it's a goal, I guess).  I spawned next to Military Checkpoint. Went backwards to the corner to make sure the way was clear, hit the stash. Entered the industrial section and got a bunch of loot. Killed a scav.  Except for scav bait shots, the raid has been very quiet.  Now what? I guess I'll head to sniper roadblock to plant the camera, but since I'm not sure if there are rogues or not, I'll go the long way round - over the hill. I worked my way around the far edge of the map.  At one point I stopped in a bush to listen.  Running footsteps approaching. Raid 145 - Survived I just need to survive on Customs to complete my quest. Did that. Got two nice scav kills. Time In Raid: 21 minutes, 26 seconds Exp: 1128 Shots: 9, Hits: 3, Accuracy: 0.22, Body: 203 Kills: Kiryusha Sedoy, Kostyan Sekach.  Godspeed gentlemen. Mistakes cowardly ratted my way across map, avoiding conflict did not get as much loot as I could have Successes completed quest and made level 24 Raid 146 - Chasing Gunshots Back to Customs with my Ash-12. Goal: Kills some PMCs and extract alive.   Spawned at the wall next to Military Checkpoint.  Went backward first, to the corner of the map where road to military base leaves the map. Looked out for the PMC spawn there, hit the stash, waited for the scavs to spawn in.  When they did I started to hear weapon fire, and, interestingly, I could hear shots coming from behind me, as if off the south edge of the map. Goals engage in more PvP, kill PMCs have fun plant markers on Tigr vehicles for Peacekeeper (two more) Progress I planted the markers Raid 143 - The Long March Loadout: Class 4 armor, Ash-12 with Monstrum scope and PS12B. Meds, ears. Spawned at RUAF on Customs. Immediately headed south towards the road, I hadn't gone far when I started hearing footsteps in bushes approaching. I think whoever spawned at Crackhouse must be pushing me, but I haven't heard any running - how did he get here so quick? Did I spawn late? I don't want to try and fight him blind - I ducked into the construction area near little skeleton. And here I made a huge mistake. This was a good place to draw my adversary into, but I didn't exploit it. Instead of posting up behind the cable wheels or some other hard cover, I continued south on my original vector, towards the road. Suddenly I was being shot. I couldn't see my attacker. Destination: Shoreline Goals: acquire six more PMC kills for Punisher 4.  Also, I have the quest to kill Sanitar. Loadout: Class 4 armor, Ash-12 with PS12B, meds, ears, etc. Raid 138 - Boring. Good Loot Spawned in north east somewhere. Made my way to north edge of resort, killing sniper scav behind on the way. Went to loot the safes in admin, I caught a glimpse of a figure in the raised glass hallway - was that a PMC or a scav? Not sure if scavs go there, but there hasn't been any sound of combat, so maybe not a PMC? Looted the safes, but one was already hit.  Guess that was a player.  Made my way to Sanitar's cottage and looted the safes there.  Was getting late, so extracted instead of going to the pier to look for Sanitar.  While I killed some scavs, I didn't see or hear anyone else. I keep thinking about dropping Punisher 4, but this week I kept at it. Raid 135 - Bushes Loadout: Class 4 armor, Ash-12 with Monstrum scope and PS12B ammo, food, meds, balaclava and scav vest. Keys (plural, because I finally bought a key tool). Spawned somewhere north east of the resort, not familiar with this spawn. Made my way towards the resort. That's maybe the best place for finding Punisher kills, and I need to hit Sanitar's office for a quest.  As I approached the resort I started to hear weapon fire. Sounded like bait shots at first, but then I heard someone firing a rifle in some sort in a strange pattern. It sounded like they were in the north east quadrant of the resort grounds, like maybe on the the playground.  Awesome! That's close to me. I hustled up and then quieted down, skulking my way up to peek over the wall.  Suddenly there were running footsteps behind me. I spun. Raid 133 - Boring I have four quests I am undertaking simultaneously: Punisher 4 Colleagues Part 1 Anesthesia Healthcare Privacy Part 1 I placed 5 of the six markers last raid, but still need to place one more, identify the three bodies and survive to finish.  I did all that this raid but didn't see a single player.  So I completed three of those quests, but made no progress on Punisher 4.   The only remarkable event was that as I descended from the resort towards power I saw two snipers on the roof of power. I had forgotten to bring my rangefinder, but I estimated it must be about 200 meters.  I adjusted the scope and fired. And missed. But I must have scared the sniper, because he got down on his stomach where I couldn't see him anymore.  So then I tried the same with the second sniper, and missed again. And he also climbed onto his stomach for safety.  Oh well. I must have misestimated the range. I moved on.  On the post mortem screen I saw tha...

The "no traders" event is over. It is time to return to pursuing Punisher 4 and to pursue that container epsilon that will be the reward once I finish the quest line. As an added incentive, I have three other quests I can pursue at the same time, mostly marking ambulances and identifying bodies.  Should be fun. Raid 131 - The Duo Loadout: scav vest and balaclava and crappy Class 4 armor and an Ash-12 with two ten round magazines loaded with PS12B. Meds, ears.  Spawned by the shore, behind the construction area...and realized that I forgot to bring the markers I need for the other quests.  Sigh.  Oh well, the most important quest is killing, so let's get to it. There is another spawn just down the road towards the river. That person might push directly into the map, but they might also work their way towards me. So I set up and waited, but no one made an appearance. Time to head out. My plan for this spawn is to position myself in the "station" triangle, between ...

There was an event last week where there was no flea market or traders. I had to run scav runs to get some weapons, and since I couldn't buy scav vests and balaclavas I had to set Punisher Part 4 down (again). I did some looting and chased down some other quests.   Here is a quick rundown, skipping most of the blow-by-blow. Raid 124  - Punisher 4 On Shoreline, pursuing Punisher 4 with my Ash-12. Was in a bush peeking the way forward when a player ran up nearby, apparently to do the same. I couldn't see him, but I could hear him. I stepped out of the bush and started firing on him. He turned while crouched and shot me dead. In the post-mortem I saw that none of my shots landed.
